It's colder than usual this morning at -26C (-15F), and last night was cold in bed.  Thankfully, there's hardly any wind.

My sinuses burn slightly today, so I may be coming down with foeclan's (one of my two landlords) illness.

My eyesight has changed a lot in the last year.  I went today to get an eye exam, a new prescription, and new lenses.  I dropped almost $1000 at Lenscrafters today to get everything done.  Granted, about 1/3 of that was more along the lines of "want" rather than "need", but it will come in handly later ( Read more... )

I've been without computer again. :(

The motherboard misbehaved once more, and I lost my ethernet port, so no network access for me. Being a new operating system install, I couldn't even get my archived games (via Steam or Impulse) installed for playtime during the holidays. My UPS finally gave out several months ago. Rather than purchase another environmentally UNfriendly battery backup, I chose instead to buy a simple surge suppressor. Ah, the joys of sharing a bedroom with nocturnal creatures. At 4:21am today, T'Reese began pestering me for food. She came up to the quiet kitten in the crook of my arm.
